Hakamas (袴) on Please! A Japanese Aikidoka in Sydney

Last month we welcomed So Matsumoto (松本想生) to train with us at Aikido in Sydney. After returning to Japan, So-san shared his thoughts about his experiences with us.

I am a university student from Japan. I always practice aikido in Tokyo. I had an unforgettable time in the Aikido in Sydney dojo because it was one of my dreams to practice aikido in foreign countries. My English was not perfect, but Greg and others taught me their aikido kindly. The techniques were so nice, and I could deepen my understanding about aikido! I appreciated the differences in approach but also realized that each dojo`s style had a lot in common. That was so interesting!!

I highly recommend a visit to the Aikido in Sydney dojo to any Japanese aikido practitioners. When I come  to Sydney next time, I definitely want to practice aikido in your dojo again !! Thank you once again!

私は日本の大学生です。普段は東京で合気道の稽古をしています。Aikido in Sydneyで私は忘れられない時間を過ごすことができました。なぜなら海外で合気道の稽古をすることは一つの夢だったからです。私の英語は完璧ではありません、しかしグレッグや他の会員の皆さんは優しく彼らの合気道を教えてくれました。その合気道の技術は素晴らしく、合気道に対する理解を深めることができました！また私の道場の技とアプローチの違いを尊重しつつも、両方の技には多くの共通点も見つけることができました。それはとても興味深いことです！

　私は日本の合気道をする人に対して、Aikido in Sydneyに訪れることを強くお勧めします！私も今度シドニーに来た際には必ず、この道場で稽古したいと思います！！改めて本当にありがとうございました！
